Just got back from my usual grocery shopping after a night at work, and the store where I usually go had an incredible steal on parsley! 99 cents a bunch, and nice big fresh ones! A lot of times it's twice as much, and not good looking at all.

I always used to wonder before I had rabbits, who bought those big bunches of parsley. It never made any sense to me. Now it does. :D

p.s. I always buy the curly parsley, not the broad leafy variety.

due to the bunnies penchant for gardening i do all my growing at the front of the house in pots and tubs. the parsley is coming along nicely in a strawberry planter. the porch is sheltered but still gets the sun. the only hazard is a swipe from a dogs' tail :( im also growing mint in the same way. works out cheaper and i know it's fresh:biggrin2:

My bunnies just love their parsley...i buy both, the curly one and the flat leaf one/continental parsley....my bunnies do prefer the continental parsley the best though...so i mainlybuy that one for them and just mix it in with the rest of their veggies

Well, I'll tell you the funny thing about my garden; even when I had parsley growing in it, Peter and Bugs really had no interest in grazing. I had high hopes of cute pictures of them munching away, but they really just basically don't care for the outdoors, and prefer that I pick it myself, for them.

Hehe if that were my bunnies there would be absolutely nothing left of anything! lol, they would trample all over the garden like hungry little piggies...

Peter and Bugs are weird, what can I say? They just don't like going outside. I have a few pictures of them around Halloween in my backyard, and a little video I took of Peter on my deck when it snowed a couple years ago, but they just really are quintessential house bunnies.

Aaah, my bunnies LOVE parsley too! We get big bunches of it from our local greengrocer and because they know us and know we have bunnies we always get given extra big bunches :D We did discover the other day though, for UK members that have a Makro card, they do big huge bags of curly parsley there for £2.99 that last a whole week feeding 5 bunnies twice a day. Bargain!

I too love the idea of cute pictures of bunnies munching away at planted herbs and greens, but sadly I have the least green fingers of anyone I know- have only just managed to keep my rosemary and thyme alive this summer and not enough on them for me to use so I still end up buying it! :rollseyes
