Is getting your belly button pierced really sore? My bestie has been asking me to get it done with her for ages, I want to but I'm really scared lol. I'd probably crap myself. So is it painful? Thankooo!

I don't have it done, but I've heard it's not so bad. They said the healing process is worse (roll over at night onto it, gets rubbed on by your shirt/pants, etc.)

I don't have any piercings, but I worked with a gal that had a navel piercing. I will always remember the day she was zipping up her sweater and it caught the ring and tore it. OUCH!

Ouch! A couple of girls in my year have it done, we were asking them if it hurts and they said it's not so bad. I want to get it done in the next few months, it would look so cool with a short top showing it off at the next partynite tour.

I had mine done and it would never heal right... kept staying infected no matter what i did... so I had to remove it... but I know people who had it done and had no problems

I got mine done and it did hurt and it took forever to heal. I like it a lot now - but you have to be really careful - 2 of my friends got them when I got mine- one had it grow out and the other's got so infected she had to take it out. I even got mine ripped out at one point and had to get it repierced (I was doing laundry and dropped the basket and it caught the top of the bar).

Its not really too bad though.

I had mine pierced for 6 years, eventually I took it out. It was fine - it feels like a really hard, sharp pinch when they do it and that's pretty much it. You just have to be careful about going to a reputable piercer. Never get it done at a place which uses a piercing gun for ears - that's a good sign that they're not well trained in proper piercing.

Ya the place everyone here uses is 'Clown town'' they do it with a needle and it seems the best, I'm 15 so I'll probably have to bring my mother :disgust:

I no this is wierd for me for replying to this but my sister got it done and she was really dreading it and when she went it she came out like 5 min later saying there was no pain. And she can't take any pain.

That's helpful! Thankooo!

Eeps. I got the double pierced ears, a tatoo, but never a belly or other piercing done, mainly because I did a ton of sports and active stuff and I knew it would get in the way too much. Belly buttons can collect a lot of junk in them, so I'd be sure to clean your's regularly so it doesn't get infected and go for a stud instead of a ring if you can, less likely to rub or get pulled.

I have had mine pierced for a long time, but I don't remember it hurting when I got it done. I got it when I was like...thirteen. I love it though, you should get yours done.

My sister got her eyebrow done for her thirteenth birthday, I've gottenmy ears pierced three times in the same place but that's it lol.

I've got lots of things pierced... so does other members of my family..

None of mine hurt.. just really a slight sting and pressure.. actually what was worse was the build up and the anticipation of it hurting, and then the let down.

The aftercare is pretty straight forward, and as long as you adhere to the instructions, you should do alright..

Here's me from the Rollergirls page with whats.. um.. er.. visible...

For those of ya'll that knew me when I first joined, you know what a huge difference this is from the old me..lol

I also have my eyebrow pierced but its not visible in this pic, I have my cartlidge pierced on each ear, and plugs in each ear..

My mum got her bellybutton pierced when she was, hmm, about 39? She said it didn't really hurt at all and hers healed fast. Now she's 44 and thinks she's fat and doesn't show her middle so she doesn't wear any jewellery in it (she's 5'2" and only weighs 100 pounds, thinks she's fat! Sheesh).
