we've had Reddit for a couple of weeks and i've started to notice a pattern. when i go to clean out his cage i let him hop around on our bed (with fleece blankets over the bed) but while i'm cleaning, he has a fascination with the litter box scoop and keeps trying to get back into the cage while i'm cleaning it. so i have my fiance play with him on the bed. well reddit plays with him for a little bit, the go and pees on him (this has happened several times). we still don't know if he's male or female, and i understand that getting him fixed will help to. But is this a territorial behavior or just random ?
also, he won't eat timothy hay, at least he only eats very little of it.

Help

My lion head peed on me everyday for a week when I first brought him home. He was telling me I was his. He stopped and since then has not done it again. If its a constant thing that lasts for a while then he might just need to be fixed. Some people neuter their males and some don't. I may never neuter him unless he starts peeing everywhere and on anything. My female I will be spaying.

Whatever the reason, I'd suggest you get a waterproof flannel pad of some kind in the baby section of Walmart or wherever.

About the hay, maybe he doesn't like the brand you bought & at that age you might want to find alfalfa hay.
