hi pam i was surfing the net today looking atpictures of holland lops and i started to think lyla dosent really looklike one yet that is the breed she is supposed to be so i was wonderingif you could tell me what you thought since you breed andjudge them thanks sara

Not all rabbits are necessarily the bestrepresentations of their breeds. In fact, some purebreds maynot at all resemble the ideal standard for that breed. You'llalso find that not every rabbit raised by even the top breeders is goodshow quality. Brood type does may not do well on the showtable, but are a valuable asset in the herd.

Lyla does indeed appear to be a Holland Lop, she's just a little longin body type. She rounds out nicely over her hindquarters,but is long over the shoulders.

The shape of her head isn't ideal -- but certainly not bad atall. She has a nicely shaped ear, although a little long andset back too far (slipped crown -- a common fault in Holland Lops).

Her broken tort color is also very common in the Hollands.

I think she's very beautiful

Wow! That last pic reminds me so muchof my Wrigley even though he is older than that. If he turnsout to look anything like Lyla I'll be sooo happy...she is sobeautiful!!! :shock:

thank you!!!!! i kind of wish she would of kept the mustache it was sooo cutebut i love her the way she is.
