most of us have a medicine cabinet/fist aid kit,.for our beloved buns,,what do we have for pain management,infections,cuts/bites,insects.??.does anyone give asprin for pain/what dosage??..i would like to have a forum on medications,,,,i believe everyone needs to beknowledgable of over the counter and prescription meds-for buns,..sincerely james waller:nerves1

:nodi have a basic first aid kit for my rexes and can deal with sore hocks or a torn bleeding nail for example. im not sure i'd feel confident about giving them any over the counter pain killer such as aspirin. i always err on the side of caution and take them to the very rabbit savvy vet. (luckily the nurses are bun lovers too).

that said i would be interested in learning what was bun-safe!:)

pipp,.is it possible to get this thread into a forum to be seen reguarly,,i think people would really enjoy this as a main topic, this could have emense impact for our fellow buns,.,sincerely james waller

I keep a basic first aid kit available. Since we are rescue, our vet gives us prescriptions so we can order some meds on-line to save money. We have sub-q supplies, metacam, and baytril. Of course, we also keep simethicone on hand and bulk order apple-banana critical care.
