Oxbow makes Hamster Food

I just saw this on Oxbow:

It's a really healthy-looking hamster and gerbil food. Makes me want to have hamsters again, I always hated the cruddy foods that were available.

FYI, they already had cavy, rat, chinchilla, and prairie dog foods. Yay for decent small animal foods!

Oh cool, it's about time! I just wonder how I can get my hands on some. I have to order my buns oxbow from Vancouver already, so if anyone finds somewhere to order it online, let me know!

Leonidas (my rattie) will be put on Oxbow soon . I would like to try out their rat food, since their rabbit food is so great. I have never tried a mix for rats, I always followed a popular homemade food mixture for rats....that is a thousand times better for them than store bought seed mixes.

I also love to add (and it is very healthy for them).....uncooked organic vegetable pasta, cheerios, oats, rice crispies, and uncooked brown rice bits to a rat's dry food, for some extra fun and crunch. Sometime's I'll add some wheat germ as well .
