Sheriffs ear hair seemed to be thin..maybe overgroomed? He doesn't live with a partner though..I am concerned...

Could it be a health issue? If not, will this disqualify him from show?

No, no mites or anything like that. Yeah, he can groom them himself, I have seen him do it. I just realized Chewbacca may have been grooming him thorugh the cage..

I should add the hair loss is ONLY where his big ears "fold" behind him. The "tops" of his ears are just fine.

Also, what should I be cleaning his ears with?

Hopefully someone will come along and help you. I don't wash my bunnies. I haven't had any issues like that before. (Hair loss) Sorry. I hope it's nothing serious.

I have also just noticed he sneezes from time to time..not all the time just once and awhile..thought I would add that.

You may want to post that in the infirmary. I know sneezing in rabbits isn't a good thing.

Edit:I thinka MOD should move this to the infirmary

Yeah, tell me about it. I just noticed him have a little sneeze, and then I thought, you know, he does sneeze once and awhile. So its probably next week off to the vet...
At least his ears can be checked out too.

Is that an English Lop?
If so, he won't be disuqalified, I know some judges thing thin ears are faulty.
It just goes by the breeding of the animal, thicker ears are prefered.
I doubt there is anything wrong with his ears.
But I would take him to the vet about the sneezing.

Many breeds call for a well furred ear and fault thin fur on the ears.

The English Lop, however, does not specifically call for a well furred ear, so I've never commented on nor faulted sparsely furred ears on an English Lop.

I haven't heard him sneeze all day. Maybe thats good? Thank you pamnock, I will just take him to the show and hope for the best!

If he's occasionally sneezing, I wouldn't stress him by showing him, nor would I put other rabbits at risk.
