I have 2 fairly large outdoor pens where my bunnies go during the day if its nice and I am home. Otherwise they live indoors in large hutches. Concerned about predators I went through a bunch of ideas to make a safe pen cover. As my pens are only 4 feet high and I am much taller I needed something flexible that I could easily move for when I go into the pens. On a used items web site I found commercial fish netting. The seller had yards of the stuff in both one inch and half inch size. I bought the half inch. He was selling it for ten cents a square foot. It is very strong and cannot be penetrated by predator birds. The half inch also provides a bit of shade. It is ideal. To give you an idea of how strong it is he uses the net to fabricate safety nets for gymnastics and trampoline work.
