Oh my...

I used to do that workout when I was a teen (as encouragement formy mom...who didn't want to do it alone). Iremembered the past ten years that it was a VERY good workout, so Ikept it in mind.

Well, here I am, roller skating about twice a week (and we're talkingnoodle legs by the end of the night!), and I wanted to do anotherworkout the other days. First thing that popped in mind...theCindy Crawford workout video. So, we got it on DVD fromamazon a few months ago, but I hadn't done it yet...

I did it about an hour ago, and OH MY!! I still have about50lbs to lose to get to the weight I've set as a goal, so I'm stillquite out-of-shape. I've been skating since August, so mylegs are quite muscular now, and I've started to lose my belly now, buteven with all that (was going three times a week for a while), theworkout still kicked my butt!! I know the pain is good...butwow!

I only did the first half of the workout (they have it split in half),and my body, and thus my brain, is absolutely FRIED!!

There just aren't any smileys to reflect this sluggy feeling I havenow...even my typing's slower!!! Hehe!! Thefunniest thing is that I want to turn it back on and do the abs portionnow! I must be crazy...hehe!

I truly recommend it for those that, for whatever reason, cannot getout of the house to exercise. Wowee, though...bewarned...it's a GOOD workout and will whip your rear into shape fasterthan you can sneeze!! :D

I'm excited...with all the skating, and now this workout, I've alreadylost about 20lbs, and though I still have so much more, I can see mybody getting into shape, and my skating has gotten really great...it'sexciting!!

(I have to say, all in all, there are so many exciting things happening in my life...it's WONDERFUL!!) :D

I'm a happy woman...:D

(Sorry for the skipping around of subjects...like I said, my mind's feeling a bit fried, hehe!)

Wow! Sounds like you have a great thing going there! :bunnydance:
As long as it keeps you feeling good, I'd say keep with it~ Soundsreally fun; in a tiring kind of way, hee hee.
I don't know who around here's heard of it, but I play DDR (Dance DanceRevolution) and that game gives you a workout too, so I know that tiredfeeling ;) It's like even your brain slows down~
Keep it up, sounds like you're having a blast
(And kudos for trying to lose weight the healthy way; exercise is always good!)

Haven't seen Cindy's.

I will say though, that after I had my son I started getting intolifting. Yes, lifting. A good one at that time wason ESPN2, I watched Kiana and Cory Everson. Now, I know whatyour thinking, they're hot and there's no way. Just go littleby little w/ the weights. What I did was start w/ soupcans. Just do the moves as they are intended, or you can dothem w/ no weight at all, just use your own weight, to get the movesdown and then move up to soup cans, then wieghts. Workedwonders, I started to see form (muscle)in almost no time.

Just doing the excercises w/ no weightespeciallyhelpsif you have NO previous training orexercise experience, really. It helps you to get the formdown before actually lifting weight.

It's funny, cuz my brother, who's been w/ this for over 14 years isstarting my son on it at the gym he works at and my son couldn'tbelieve that my brother was pressing almost 300lbs. Ididn't stick w/ it, but you can! But, I'm thinking aboutstarting again.

I just thought I'd post about taking it slow, w/ your own weight to start w/.

Just my :twocents

Happy workouts!!:D

I remember my mom had her workout very long ago.I remember doing it way back when and thinking it was hard (and thatwas when I was very much in shape from cheerleading and sports).

Good for you, Rosie! My New Years Resolution is also to lose someweight. I dropped 25 lbs 2 summers ago and have gradually managed togain it all back. As soon as I can kick this cold, I'm gonna try to getmy butt in shape!

Im proud of you..keep up the good work!

Thanks for the encouragement, guys!I'm excited to see myself emerging from in the middle of all this...um,er...extra weight. Hehe!

It certainly helps that half of the exercise I do is something I love...my skating. :)

I'll keep you guys posted on how things progress. :)
