I love this pic.. seen it all my life.. finally saw it in person. Anne of Cleves..Henry the 8ths 4th wife., Master Hans Holbein painted this in a flatterring light, Henry fell in love with her based on this inaccurate portrait..privately, he called her the Flanders Mare, because she was suppossedly so unattractive. Oliver Cromwell was beaheaded over his hand in arranging this fiasco..,

If you've ever seen The Transporter movies, with Jason Statham in his elegant black suits and black Audi.. he really isn't that goodlooking in person..LOL

DSC01808.jpg

(ok so I was joking, it really wasn't Jason Statham..but it still struck me as funny when I saw it.,)

My fav place EVER.. very eerie energy here..

Haha, i drove past stone henge the other day.. . weird isn't it?

You should come over to Kent, come see our version of Stonehenge. Its a bit smaller.. its called Toad Rock.. its shaped like a toad. Maybe not quite as impressive but at least you can climb it!

Also, you should go to Hever Castle. Its the family home of Anne Boleyn. Its about 20 minutes from me. The house is really interesting but the garden are amazing. Plus they have a water maze (OK - so not really very Medieval but its so fun! You have ti jump on the platforms and work out the way without getting sprayed with water :p)

OOOO I have some pics of Hever castle somewhere..the gardens especially

I had to go there.. being a Tudorist, that's like the quintessential stop on the unofficial tour.

When we went, there was gonna be a wedding that afternoon, I was soooooooooo jealous!

When we went though, the focus was less on Anne Boleyn, and more on the Edwardian time frame, I was like BLASPHEMY!

I did want to stow away there..

I bet Stonehenge isn't as impressive since you see it all the time, kinda like the historical stuff here, I drive by it so much, I am like *eh.. take it or leave it..*

I don't see it very often, but probably a couple of times a year if i am driving to my Dads.

Its kinda like... 'oh look! There's stonehenge! Wow, creepy, isn't it weird. Yeah, ive seen it now..'

We had an all year pass to Hever because we used to go their for picnics sometimes. If my future husband is rich enough i'll make him book our wedding at Hever. That would be so lovely!
