That is, if my dad lets me keep Ronnie in the house.
A little background for those who don't know me or my bunnies.
I am me. My bunnies are Ronnie and Skye. Ronnie is a New Zeland White mix that I got when my brother and his friend brought him home. He was with a different rabbit that we were never able to catch, and had been wandering around the neighborhood and someone said they were strays. So they caught Ronnie and brought him to me. My brother had been wanting a rabbit for a while, so I had been researching them (funny how that goes) I am glad because I knew a little bit more about what I was getting into. We had a rabbit when we were young, but it died of unspecified causes. It was also a NZ white.
Ronnie is a very sweet rabbit with a big personality. Though we have gone to cross purposes a few time he is always there and lets me pet him when I am upset even though he really doesn't like to be petted. He is also really smart. The other day he escaped his cage and came in to the kitchen. One look at me and "Ronnie" in a disappointed voice and he high-tailed it back to his cage.
Ronnie the week we got him

I got Skye in December. She is a fuzzy lop. I went to a pet store to get some fish because I only had one neon tetra and they live in schools. On my way to the fish I passed the bunnies. There was this blue bunny that caught my eye. I always wanted a blue pet, I love the color. She was fuzzy and all matted and I felt sorry for the little girl.
But I got my fish and left. When I was home I couldn't stop thinking about her so I did some research and made a list for my dad doing the pros and cons of getting her.
Since it was near Christmas and I had nothing on my Christmas list, he gave in and let me get her. I think the fact that she was $25 bucks helped. But I didn't get her right then either. I went home and researched some more. I wasn't sure about getting a pet store bunny that could have lots of problems and stuff. This wasn't the best pet sore in town, just the closest to my house. But I finally decided to get her. She was about six weeks old when I got her and weighed less than a pound. She was skin, bones, and hair!
So I got her. She likes to be held and gets a long well with my dog. She didn't have very many health problems, though right after I got her she went bald in some spots. That was depressing. A bald fuzzy lop. But it grew back. She was just molting.
She loves exploring and is active. She is very friendly and loves to get head rubs and give
Skye when I got her
Skye now
Anyways. Ronnie was neutered almost two weeks ago. He has progressively gotten better at his litter training and today Skye's cage was dirtier than Ronnie's. I knew from when I got him that when he was neutered he would be good at litter training, and I am right.
Ronnie and Skye share a common wall for their cages. They have been getting to know each other through the bars for about a month, and more when I let Skye outside.
I decided to see how they would be out together when I walked in my room and saw this
Well, actually Ronnie and Skye were both laying down, but Ronnie hopped up when I came in.
They not pretty much ignore each other when they are out, though sometimes Ronnie tries to hump Skye. Skye doesn't seem to mind though. They are always supervised closely.
They both like food.
This is what I see when I wake up in the morning or walk in my room, lol.
Hopefully I will be able to post more as their bonding progresses.
