I was petting my rabbit yesterday on my chest and she opened her mouth open as far as she could. I looked online but couldn't find anything behind the reasoning if it was a behavior or automatic reaction. It kind of scared me

No, Apollo does this too. I don’t know why, I guess you may have just woken her up? I never know why apollo does it.
