ONLINE GAMERS: Lord of the Rings online game

My son is in the beta....my daughter made itinto the beta.....then my husband made it into the beta (and playedthrough the stress test) - then Art showed me how to make a character...

....now I'm waiting to get into beta while playing my character on his account.

The game isn't addicting at all....I can quit at ANY time..

....I just don't WANT to....:bunnydance::bunnydance::bunnydance::bunnydance::bunnydance::bunnydance:

P.S. We also play Asheron's Call although not as much. LOTRreminds my husband of Asheron's Call 2 as far as the player interface,etc.

She says LOTR reminds her of it a bit...not sure how...user interface maybe?

World of Warcraft. You can play free for 10days... then once you have been sucked in, they make you pay, and pay,and pay. There are more than 8 million people paying to playthe game every month. I'd be saddened by that if I also werenot shovelling my money to them monthly as well.

It's an online role playing game - similar to the Lord of the Ringsbeta - where multiple players are all playing online at the same timeand can interract with each other. You choose your character,and work to get them better skills, levels, clothing, weapons...

Well - since we've been playing Asheron's Calland been "sucked in" for um...since maybe 1998 or 1999.....I'm not tooupset by it.

I know we were living in Alaska at the time so it was before 2000.....

We're going to do the lifetime membership thing with LOTR for all four of us since we love it..

I've been playing DiabloII for about two yearsnow, and LOVE IT!! I haven't gotten my Sorceress quite to theend yet, but I'm in the Normal level's Hell right now...so I'm in thelast Act of the first level of difficulty. Maybe I'll do somemore this weekend...hmm...I've been so busy the last six months, Ihaven't had a single moment to play! :shock:

Nice to see someone else from Brandywine. OnArt's account I have a lore master (lvl 12 I think)named...um...Ladela? She's elven. I have a blast with her when mydaughter (Reina - a minstrel) goes out with me.

Been in beta for LoTR since Novsometime. Played it till Vanguardreleased. Now I'm addicted to Vanguard. I'd be init right now if the motrin I took would kick in and KILL myheadache. So far have a lvl 16 bloodmage and a lvl 14psionicist on Woefeather. What server are you on Krissa?
