I hardly want to go down the list, but it's been a hard, stressful year at work.
First, a coworker I've known and liked for 6 years was in a 1 car accident where she died upon impact.
Another coworkers sons' died in a car wreck.
Yet another lost his wife to MS.
Another lady, and good friend died due to complications after having an abscessed tooth worked on. She had heart troubles that directly related to the problem with a severe infection...
My supervisors 86 year old Mom is having open heart surgery probably at this moment still.
Two weeks ago I was at work when one of the nicest me I've ever worked with became - very odd acting. The few of us who were around Jim don't relay specifics of his behavior and actions when he had his episode to our coworkers, but it was bad - his temper flared, he made little sense, he lost control of his bodily functions. Jim is 48 years old. Something was definantly wrong. We learned late last night that he has a brain tumor. It's not known if it's cancerous or not. Right now he's going through treatment to shrink the mass, before surgery is done. We're all trying to raise money for his family now, and collecting foor for them as well. Hopefully we'll raise enough throughout time to keep them afloat.
I know this isn't a forum to ask for prayers, but if you believe there is power in prayer, please keep him and his family in mind - as well as the grieving co-workers who care deeply for one another and see many as a part of the extended family.
