Yes, my nest will be half empty - sort of. My son graduates tonight. He will head for Purdue University in August. He's gotten some scholarship money and has done very well.

Seems like yesterday that he was sitting in his toybox eating a bagel with cream cheese smeared all over his face...... :cry2

Thanks :)

Purdue gave him some... and we're still waiting to hear on a couple. It's not easy is it?

He actually got like 70,000 from Rose Hulman (over 4 years) but it wasn't enough to pay even half of his tuition there... so we didn't do it.

It's always tough to have the first one leave. I remember when I turned 18 and moved out of the house. It was one week before Thanksgiving. Mom asked me when she would be seeing me and I told her Thanksgiving. She replied "But that's so long from now!". You'll get through it. Congrats to your son on his scholarship(s).

Congratulations on your son's scholarships...

I know what that feels like when the chicks leave the nest - had Andy off to college last August (one more year to go) and Greg left for California almost a month ago...

I hear you on where did the time go? It seems like yesterday Andy was a baby, lifting his arms up to me saying "Mommy uppie."

Benn just said, "More" as in food.:biggrin2:

Thanks. Yes, it's so difficult. Graduation was good, hubby was being a jerk later tho.... figures......

His school did something really special last night and it's been on the news here and in other states. It was a charity event as well as graduation - Their final statement in unity...... we're very proud of them.
