I have a one eared rabbit so I don't know if his symptoms are worse because of it, but I don't know and I am freaking out and I am calling the vet in the morning , but something does seem right at all. Maybe I am just over reacting, but I neeed someone elses opinion. So i have a one eared rabbit who is a blue mini rex with one ear and he is two years old. So yesterday I noticed his left eye had kinda a clear gooey a bit white discharge in it and i thought it was normal but today its still there. And its all crusty in his fur around his eye also. I am scared becuase I don't know what it could be and I notice he hasn't been eating that much as he always does and both his ears are terribly itchy. sometimes he will itch then and be done but go back to itch them again. Is there anything i can do to help him please let me know i am freaking out becuase I don't want there anything to be wrong with my big lovable boy. Maybe I am over reacting but it just doesn't seem normal at all. Help please.

It doesn't seem like an emergency situation as long as the eye looks ok, though it is something that you will want checked out. It could be a blocked tear duct, related to a tooth problem, or a scratch on the eye itself. The decreased eating and ear scratching could indicate an ear infection. Mites are a possibility as well. As long as he keeps eating and pooping then you should be fine til you can get him in tomorrow.

Until you get him to a vet, I would use warm compresses and try to clean off the crusty stuff. That will make him a bit more comfortable. If you have some Veterycin handy, you could also rinse his eye with that.

Agreed with the above. Do you know why he has only one ear? Was it overgrooming by his mom as an infant? If you're not sure, make sure to get him checked for mites as well as an ear infection. Ear mites in terrible cases can destroy the ear.
