Yesterday, Ollie decided he loved me. =P

He figured out how to open the kitchen door, so I went in and picked him up (for the first time properly since we got him), and carried him out, and wedged the door shut better.

From that point, Ollie wouldn't stop following me around. He cleared the small door I have across the bedroom doorway (a good three feet high) so he could be in the room while I fed the guinea pigs. He just sat there and watched me. Then followed me out again. He followed me into the toilet, and I had to pick him up and move him out again and shut the door in his face, but he was still sat there waiting when I came out. And then when I finally went to sit down on the sofa, he jumped up on my lap, laid out and refused to budge all evening!

Then when I took him home at bed time, I mashed up some banana in the palm of my handand Ollie licked my hand clean, and then tried to eat my fingers too.

I'm very very happy. Bunny has always been affectionate, but not nearly THIS affectionate. All this new bunny love is great!

On the other side of things, Rose is not so friendly at the moment. She's still really nervous, and the one time we've managed to get her to come out of the cage so far she just hid in the carrier the whole time and wouldn't come out - even for a piece of carrot!

AWWW look at that sweet little love bun. Bunny love is so grand!!! Hopefully Rosie will come around soon. I am sure it won't be long before she sees what she is missing. Beckie, Touble and Trixie

Four days ago, Ollie and Rose moved into the kitchen. I have not seen them so happy since we brought them home! At first, they hopped about like it was just out-of-cage time. They got confused when we turned out the lights that night and went to bed.

In the morning, they were the bounciest, happiest bunnies ever! Rose seems to have some out of her shell completely after moving in there - she had only been out of the cage a couple of times before, because she refused to be lifted out, and wouldn't hop out on her own. We managed to get her to hop into the carrier a couple of times, and then lifted her out in that, but she didn't leave the carrier.

Now, she bounds around the flat like she owns it! She has discovered that she likes to taunt the chinchillas and make them chatter at her - and comes binkying into the living room after annoying them. She likes to headbutt the group of empty bottles by the TV, because they ***** together.

Ollie still wants to be with us nearly all the time - which is a pain at the moment because we end up with orange fluff all over us - Ollie has a go-faster stripe of slightly darker, short fur rightdown the middle ofhis back where his short summer coat is coming in.. =) I keep telling him he looks silly, but he thinks Rosie likes the inverted-mohican look, and insists it looks sexy on him.

They also haven't dug the food out of their dish at all since they've been in there. Though they have both made valient attampts at climbing into the salad drawer of the fridge, or the shopping bags full of veg before we've unpacked... Silly bunnies. =)

I'm glad to hear that Rose has opened up and that Ollie and her are enjoying living in the kitchen.:DAlso can we please have some new pictures? That one at the top of the page is adorable!:inlove:

Oh of course - how rude of me! =P

Here's a photo of them together just before they moved into the kitchen - but it's the only nice one I have of them together..

Bloody troublemakers! :rollseyes

A couple of days ago, Ollie and Rose managed to break into the cupboard in the kitchen. Rose devoured a large amount of raw pasta, and I assume Ollie ate some too because I stuck my fingers all the way into his mouth to pull a piece out that he was still munching on. He was not impressed, but I think he forgave me for a craisin.

However, Ollie seems to be completely unaffected as heate all his food and then started on Rose's. Rose looked quite bloated and lay about looking feeble for the evening, and we woke up to some rather unpleasent-looking diarrhoea. 1 x rushed trip to the vet later, we have been told she seems fine, but to keep a close eye on her for the next day or two and bring her straight back if there are any more problems. Rose is climbing into the fridge every time it's opened looking for food. We think she's got it out of her system.

We've resucured the cupboard witha new lock, and let me tell you, this one is not only rabbit-proof but appears to be boyfriend-proof too. ;)
