old rabbit?

my brother has offered me his rabbit as his daughter no longer wants it. i have a question as im not quite sure:?he is 6 years old and from the way hes described him he sounds like a rex. is he to old to mate as i dont want to risk letting him out with my others as they havent been spayed yet? could some one please help?:biggrin2:thanks :bunnydance:

He may stil lbe able to breed at that age. I have a couple of 5-6 year old bucks that can still sire litters, I wouldn't lethim out to play with the girls until they are fixed.
