My old rabbit today lost function to his hindlegs and pretty much dragging his rear around. He's alsolosing balance but aware enough to walk over to me and eat alittle. Is this typical of an old rabbit on its way to rabbitheaven?

Not necessarily.Paralysis can be caused by injury and/or illness, but is not alwayslife threatening. In fact, many rabbits continue to live wonderful,happy lives, with some extra care from their owners.

Can you get him to a vet? This couldbe a treatable condition. How old is he? I've known"disabled" rabbits to live 10+ years, and they were very happy.
