I have two Holland Lop sisters who aren't exactly potty-trained yet, so they will go on their platforms in their cage and then get all dirty. Most of the time they'll clean it themselves, or it's not too big of a mess. I also don't mind because I don't pick them up often((I do pet them and play with them and let them out, no worries! They just have total panic attacks if they get higher than about two feet)).

But now we have a show to go to this Saturday so they obviously need to be cleaner than they are to go there. I tried washing pee off with a washcloth but, and maybe it was because I did this all myself & quite awkwardly, it just mushed the pee around. So is there a better way to do it? I'm sure the judge would not appreciate a pee covered rabbit. :p

i use timothy hay in the poop boxes and 24/7-hay bins,,rabbits atributes are to be clean, and generally are,,barring medical problems.//.sounds like the bunnz are pretty skittish--highly recommend picking one up with both hands--i just covered a post for broken back_(pts)-in my facility-rabbits run wild on the floor/hay-their feet always look good--,sincerely james waller:wave::rose::pinkbouce::bunnydance::biggrin2:

It's not just one area, it's all over. And I've already got them two litter boxes with hay racks filled most of the time. I can't take away the platforms because the cage's floor space is only 2 ft by 2 ft and the platforms give them about double that if not more. They're being stubborn about going where they should. :|

Hopefully, they will get the idea soon. In the meantime, I've heard you can use vinegar to clean their feet from the pee stains. Maybe give that a shot and see how it works? I think judges are used to a bit of yellow bunny feet.;) Other than that, I'm not sure...
