My sweet baby Saphy isn't my sweet baby anymore. Tonight, he got mad, I think because I was giving Lilyher hay first and her cage is right next to his, and he sprayedme. It was so gross! I'm so upset, he's always beenmy sweet baby and now he's my nasty, spraying baby.Y-y-y-y-uck!!!!! (Thiswas strangely appropriate.)

its okay.. the first day we brought vicky homeall freddy did was pee on me!! i swear it was like every chance he got,he did it! i took like 50 showers that day!

Elvis sprayed me right after I gothim. Sage literally scared the pee out of him. AndSampson peed right on my lap when I wasn't paying him the attention hefelt he deserved. But this got in my hair!!! It wasjust wrong!

LOL! Oh, I can certainly identify withthe grossed out feeling. Vash has got me a few times, and Ifelt so violated and icky. It smelled like human urine, andthe fact that he is a Flemish = big bunny with a big bladder.Well, yu get the picture - I was soaked each time.

Just change clothes if it happens again. Vash would have a'tell' a signal when he would get ready to spray - circle, and flickinghis tail - and I would catch on to it and pick him up and cuddle himand kiss on him. Basically turning down his amorous advancesaway and reminding him that I am his 'mommy' not his 'mate.'Took a few times, but he has stopped anointing me.

It has happened.....:mad:Baaaad Bubby.

Jenniblu, if "turning him down" worked for Bub as well as for Vash, Iwould be a happy woman. Flemish are so much more tractable. NOTHINGconvinces Bub I am not his mate.

Oh - I'm so sorry. Fortunately - noneof my boys have done that to me.....then again, my lionhead breederdeliberately breeds for animals that have good temperments and won'tspray (I think I've read it tends to be passed down from father to son,etc....but don't quote me on that!).

I wish I had something encouraging to say....um....at least you know he was thinking of you?

Eeeeeeewwwwwwww!

I'm really glad I have not experienced the "love" of an male bunny! I'm getting one, but he's neutered.

Are you planning on neutering Saphy?

yer my mum went to pick up buttons yesterday andhe pead all over her!1 it was funny in one way but abd the next coz nowi have to try and get in fixed earlier then i thought!!

LOL sorry its just funny ,

be thankfull you have never gotten caughtin the crossfire of a spray war, talk about reaking !!!!!! Igot caught in the middle of onethe other day ,( was not impressed let me tell you) I was handing out treats andOne Buck decided hewasnt on the first list andfired the first shotwell with 4 of them incages across from each other hmmmm guess where Iwas !. Caught dead in the middle of them all (Yuckie ) .

I have also found sprayingisnt always because of bunny love, the little buggers will do it whenthey are mad at you , orfeeling like they have been rejected, or scared , or are justplain mean to start with ( IE: Buster ) Ieven have one Female who does that .

Yes, and I can attest that neutering does notalways help. Napoleon was neutered over two months ago andcontinues to spray his two "sisters" and anyone within a six footradius. He does it when he's scared, too.

I found out that Rosie is good for that, too. :disgust:

She got out while I was filling food bowls the other morning. I justlet her hop around in the bunnie room until I was finished. However shedecided it was not time to go back to her cage and she ran under thedresser. I...being unaware of what was about to happen....got down onmy stomach to reach under the dresser to scoop her out.

Let's just say that it's a good thing I wear glasses and had my mouth shut:growl:.

Pandemonium has spray marks up her cage walls. She's never gotten me, though.

I'm just howling over gypsy's spray war.:DBub and I had a skirmish today in which I emerged the VICTOR!!!! yay!

Oh, yes, he will be getting neutered. He's just not oldenough yet. My vet says wait will he's 6 months old, so 2more months. Actually, there are bunnies ahead of him on thespay/neuter list. I've been putting it off because livingwith my mom, it's a 2 hour drive to the vet. I don't wantthem to have the stress of the long ride, the spay/neuter surgery andthen a long ride home again. I may just be rethinking thatsoon.

Thank God I have never been sprayed. Although Ihad Hef at my mom's house last weekend and he peed on me. Right after Ijust got done telling everyone how he doesn't pee outside his cage, ofcourse. Scott was holding him and he was getting squirmy (Hef, notScott). So Scott put him on the couch next to me and it was likeNiagara Falls. :X All over me and the couch.

I always say if the bunny is getting squirmy, put them in the cagebecause they may have to pee. He never listens to me. Of course hedidn't put Hef on the couch next to himself either!:X
