Off On A Trip, Not for Pleasure

I am off tomorrow on a 1/2 way unexpected trip to NC. I knew I would have to go but not how soon. The extremely uncooperative executor for my mother's estate died Wednesday. She was also my aunt. My brother and I were in the process of having her removed as executor.Before my mother died, my aunt had her quit claim all her real property over to her. This was done while my mother was in a nursing home for Alzheimers. Oh yeah, my aunt had her revoke my brother as POA and put her in as POA. Amusing, no? We had to go to court to get the property back in my mother's name before she died. What a headache. Obviously this is the shortened version of a long story. I don't usually air dirty family laundry in public.

To make a long story short -2 properties have just been sitting empty since my mother died. One was her home and sits exactly as she left it. We have potentialbuyers for all three properties. Michael has arranged some legal meetings for next week and I need to be there. We also need access to my mother's house and on and on...

Will be leaving tomorrow after noon and expect to be back Friday or Saturday. Wish I could take Franknbunny with me.

Thanks for the good wishes. My mother died4 years ago and my aunt dragged this out for that long. To top it off, the weather isn't supposed to be great around Wilmington.

I can't sleep. Think I will go walk outside.

Drink some hot Cocoa, and watch a sitcom, like reba. That alwaysss makes me feel better , Well not really but you'll get a well needed laugh( Thats what I did all day on my dad's supposed-to-be birthday )
