Hello Everyone, Recently my pet rabbit's litter habits have been changing. Petey is a 4 year old Rex Rabbit. Since we adopted him, he's been great with using his litter box. He was living upstairs and we recently transferred him downstairs due to the 2nd floor of the house getting quite warm during the summer months. since then, we have noticed that he's pooping more in his cage (something he never did before) and also peeing outside of his cage, normally in just one area of the laundry room where we keep his litter box, cage, hay box etc. When we first adopted him, he lived in the laundry room area for several weeks and never exhibited this behavior. It's not like he has been introduced to a totally new environment. He has free roam of the whole downstairs. If we were containing him to a small room, we could understand that this behavior could be a sign of his displeasure with his small living space. But he has more room to run around than he ever has. It's also worth noting that he only pees in that one corner of the laundry room and nowhere else in the house aside from his litter box. We use aspen bedding like we always have. I have cleaned the area he pees on with deodorizing pet sprays so that it discourages him from peeing there again, but he still does it. Any insight or help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
