So the last few days cookie has been obsessed with trying to eat dog food! Our dogs are feed with activity balls and they are usually just left out all the time and filled twice a day... Sometimes they will leave a few morsels (they are both small dogs and there food morsels are very small) and the last few days I've caught cookie 2x nibbling on a few bits of dog food! And when I took the balls away from him, he was following me and thumping LOL :confused2:

Could he really like the taste?? He's a herbivore for heaven sake!! Lol Or maybe he is just copying the dogs... Or is confused that maybe he is a dog?? My husband thinks he needs therapy! Hahahahaha lol :wink

(ohh and could those few bits hurt him?) :confused2:

Bunnys want what they cant have ;)
I wouldn't worry about him eating a few kibble here and there, just watch out as puppy kibble is alot higher in protein then what bunnys typically eat. However depending what brand of kibble that could go either way. (Lower quality food = more fillers and garbage = bad for bunny and doggies / high quality food = way to rich for bunnys to eat regularly but great for doggies)

Thanks! It was just so surprising, because it's been the same around here with them leaving the dog food around and he's always ignored it... Of course when we started restricted his pellets a few days ago, he starts eating dog food! OIYEE! Lol :foreheadsmack:

Hah I have that problem with Harvey and my cats' food. I have to leave it up on a counter because he likes it so much. He will push the cats out of the way to get to their food.

Omg! Hahahaha lol that is cookie! This morning he was charging and grunting at Sydney for her food... She walked away, and he started eating... So I jumped up and moved it... Lol what a little jerk! Lol

Who woulda thought bunnys would like dog food! Maybe we have carnivore bunnies... :wink

Hahahah yeah he just shoves them out of the way. I pick up one bowl he goes to the other cat who still has a bowl and shoves that cat out of the way. And they let him. Hahah he's totally a jerk to the cats when he wants something. He'll chase the fat cat out of the bedroom or his corner and grunt too. Never grunts at me tho.

I think Harvey might be part cat XD

I don't know if putting the rabbit's pellets in a ball with adjustable openings would help the situation or make it worse. Would it help to feed the rabbit first, or is he interested in food all the time?
