o/t lucy seems fine BUT

hi all

lucy seems fine in herself as we have enstalled a dehumidifier in the kitchen area

we have the lounge and kitchen together

well the thing is tony has been experencen sore throats and ive been having servere headaches

we are now going to put the dehumidifier in the hallway as it is taking literally all the moisture out of the rooms

my question is lucy seems fine shes always got water in her cage andshe hasnt been acting strange but what affect could this have on her

i mean how would we know if she became dehydrated

Just saw your post ,

What size dehumidifier did you get ?

Sounds like maybe a large one whichis great , Keep a kettle on toreplace excess lost moisture, I agreewith putting inthe hall way.

What may be happening with the sore throats and headachesis that while the dehumidifier is drawing moistureout it is also drawing out the moldspores , try cleaning the filterwith a mild bleach solution once a week untillall the mold spores are taken completelyout of your air . I am so sorryyou are suffering sore throats and headaches ,those are Not a bit of fun .

Lucy should be fine , a little drier airwill even be good for her , with thedehumidifier inthe hall it shouldnt pullas much moisture from theother rooms , it should keep itat just the right balance .
