Well, we have been in our house for a bit over a month, so I guess will now post pictures for you guys :p.

Yep, our walls are soooo bare, we need art work, but it is sooo expensive around here.

Our bedroom (ehh...messy bed!):

Our master bathroom:

Our master closet...aka...boy rat room/sewing room:

My shelving inside the rat/sewing room. I LOVE this shelving so much! It goes all the way to the floor and almost the ceiling...so it is perfect for all my fabric and rat supplies:

The hallway (view from our bedroom door). At the end of the hallway there is a small utility closet to the left with our broom, vacuum, and shoes. Garrett's room is to the right:

Little hallway that leads to Garrett's (our roomate) bathroom. The cat box is also in this hallway, sticking halfway out of the closet. I like the closet in this hallway because it has 2 double sliding doors and lots of shelves inside:

Bunny/girl rat room (view from the door):

Bunny/girl rat room. This is the view standing by the window. I have a large closet in there for all supplies:

Laundry room (ugh, hate that washer & dryer!):

Down the hallway and into the living room ("entry way" to the right in the picture):

Living room (with Garrett on the couch, no....he's not a decoration :p):

View of the living room from standing in the dining area:

Dining area (we need a larger table, for sure!):

Dining area, again:

Our kitchen (which I adore, even though I don't cook):

Congratulation! Your house is beautiful. I especially love your kitchen cabinets.

It sure looks like a lot of room! Good job posting pictures now while everything is clean!
I am very happy for you, Happy Housewarming!

Yes :p. His are like an inch, lol!

I would LOVE living in a place like that! Your kitchen looks wonderful. Lucky duck. How much is rent again?

Thanks :)! The house is very nice, nicer than any house I have ever lived in (growing up in Upstate New York, lol!). It is $975 a month, plus utilities. Garrett pays us $200 a month for rent, so it all works out just fine. The rent is pricey for us (but not really the area), but we all still have food in our tummies and still get to spend some money on things we don't exactly need, so I am happy!

I just wish we could own a house, but that will come later on. We may be moving to Madison, WI in 1-2 years...so we will probably buy a house there. I wouldn't want to buy one in AZ, because I know I will not live here for a while as I don't like living out west :p.

Looks fabbo, Amy...
I'd be happy to come down and house/bun -sit in paradise!
>>> You're a great housekeeper too! What a catch! :)

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ;)

We were in Hot Topic the other day and looking at nose rings... yeah, I think I'll get one.........

HAHAHA! no! My niece has hers pierced!

anyhow...... I saw some gauged earrings...... or plugs or whatever you want to call them.

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! and you can tell Garret I said so! :p;)

Your house is nice! real nice! I want bunny rooms! :grumpy:

No!! :p I so want flesh tunnels but my mum said no for now, maybe after the wedding though :biggrin2:

Oooooh, I LOVE looking at houses!

Amy your kitchen would be my dream to cook in! I love the layout- and I love the counter that goes across the end- sort of to keep guests out of the way but you could still talk to them... And it has so much storage space....

:thud:

In your sewing room, is your desk in there from Ikea? I'm sure I had the same one in my house when I was at uni!

Your house looks great :D

Oh wow I love it ! It looks awesome.

The current 'artwork' in your bedroom looks just fiiiine to me :p.

I saw a thing about Arizona on the TV the other night and it's beautiful, looks so hot and dry though, but now Mat and I want to go holiday there one day.

At the current exchange rate your rent is $1891 NZD! That does sound like a lot, but our dollar isn't worth many of yours right now. Our rent would be, ahh, $1240 a month NZD. Funny how it's monthly there.

Your room-mate (why do they call them that? Hope you don't have to share a room :?) looks like a real typical bloke. Those ear things creep me out a little too Pennie :p.

Do you know, I have ALWAYS wondered that! Over here we call them housemates.... I presume that most of the time a 'roommate' is like a housemate- has a seperate bedroom?

Yeah "room mate" is the same as "house mate". Just our North American nomenclature.

I love your house too Amy!! In a year I hope to find a place something like that. But I have to wait until I finish University first before I can move out of the expensive city.

Thanks, guys :biggrin2:!

I think "room mate" started with having to share rooms at Universities...at least that is how I always thought it started. It does make more sense to call Garrett our "house mate", though!

And, uh.....whats a "bloke" :p?

We say flatmate here :D, I guess it came about from people renting flats together? Not sure.

And we call them "apartments" not "flats"....but I've never heard anyone called an apartmentmate.

hehe
