How do you know if they're eating cecotropes? It's been a couple days and I've been seeing a couple of cecotropes lying around her cage. Does that mean she's not eating it? I'm not sure if she knows she's supposed to eat it. Hmm

How old is Mochi?

Young buns sometimes don't eat their night droppings like they should. It's a matter of them learning what is good for them.

Also, sometimes you may have a bun that you see night droppings every once in awhile. I see Agnes's every so often. I've never seen one from Archie.

As long as it's not excessive I wouldn't worry.

Oh I see. Well she's only 7 weeks old right now. And like i said I only uses to see a couple a day. Right now I see like 6 of them in her cage right now and these ones are new.

Yep, keep an eye out but it tends to be a young bunny thing. They're having too much fun all day to take any time away or think about cecotrophs..not to mention most young bunnies have a very rich diet. :running bunny

Earlier today I picked up one of the cecotropes to try to give it to her, but it fell on top of her nose! Eww haha.

I know that's with good intentions but do not feed baby the Cecotropes. They need to learn that it is a natural action (to eat them) to do on their own which does not require human intervention. You will not ever be there enough to feed them so she needs to learn to do it on her own with no help.

I used to find a couple a day when my babies were little... now it's down to 1-2 a week. they get better about eating them as they get older :)
