Hello so my Guinea pig just passed away, anyway as I was burying him I noticed that he had a bald patch in his fur anyway I thought it might be mites anyway i washed all his fleece and stuff but I washed his fleece with some of my other fleece and then without thinking I used it for my rabbits cage anyway I read that as long as you use detergent on it then there's no way the mites could survive on it, my question is that is there anyway mites could have gotten from my pig to Iris my bunny, I mean I watched her today and she scratched but to me it looked like she's fine, I mean she scratches a bit but not tons and it's only like an itch here and there not like she's chewing or scratching her skin off and her fur looks good and healthy, anyway I was wondering should I be worried the reason I ask is because in the past I've had bad problems with fleas and stuff. Anyway any help would be grateful, should I wait and see if more symptoms start or if she scratches herself more.

I probably wouldn't wait to see symptoms. You can use revolution to treat mites, and I believe you'll need to do at least two applications because it doesn't directly kill the mites, but prevents them from reproducing, so you have to apply a couple of times at the recommended time apart so that you get the different stages of reproduction.

Okey well I've been watching her and I'm pretty sure she doesn't have mites the itching she dose do she dose when she's cleaning herself and other then that it all seems fine.
