I've been looking and looking and i can't find anything! I've been searching for forever! Can anyone please tell me where i can find a big enough non-wire cage?

*Where can i find a big non-wire cage for a rex rabbit? (The bigger the better.. but it needs to fit in my room)

Thanks!

Non-wire cage?
What do you mean by this?

are you talking about just wire flooring? or the entire cage?

Just use NIC pannels or a 48" wire dog kennel.... they have pull out trays.

Sorry i worded that wrong. I meant the bottom should not be wire or a pull out. Most of the cages around me are only wire and i cannot find a website with a big enough cage. I want it to be plastic flooring and also 6 inch plastic around the sides. Here is a link that is close to what im talking about but it's not big enough.

Thanks,

That style of cage doesn't come big enough for most bunnies no matter where you look.

You dont need high plastic sides for a litter trained bunnies either. Why does the cage have to be that style?

Well lately my male rabbit has began to spray, and it's gotten to a point where it gets out of his wire cage. Gettiny him neutered is definalty not an option so im looking for a cage with the sides on it. I've had no luck :sigh: I love him too much to get rid of him :cry2

Thanks,
Ashley

You could line the edges of the cage with something to stop the spray from getting out if neutering is really not an option. There are some really cheap options out there, like dollar store cheap. All you really need are some plastic placemats or something similar to that.

If hes spraying then he for sure should be neuthered, why is this not an option but purchasing a new cage is? That money could go to his neuter.

Well the closet vet near me is almost 2 hours away. That part is not the problem though. The problem is, they don't neuter small animals, such as rabbits and ferrets, ect. I didn't believe it at first, but after driving there and not being able to have my rabbit neutered really surprised me. I was soo shocked. So im looking for a new option which is the buying of a new cage.

Thanks,
Ashley

I think you should look further into getting him neutered. Not just for the spraying but for various other reasons that will be good for both you and the rabbit.
Look for local rescue groups, and family elsewhere? maybe somebody can help you locate a vet that will neuter him and take him for a day or 2. Dont trash the idea so soon.

Just searching the word vets in the area you have listed as your location, I'm seeing lots of options. http://www.yellowpages.com/rubicon-wi/veterinarians

Well where do you live now? maybe somebody on here can help? Talk to local rescues or shelters they probably know of vets that can do the procedure. And if that means a friend a few hours away babysits your bun for a few days, I think thats alot safer for him in the long run then leaving him with his man bits risking all the issues that can arise.

How about a xpen for the cage, then buy linoleum oa vinyl mat for the floor if you have carpet, and then in the corner the litter box is, hang a cheap fleece blanket to create a wall. Wash blanket every couple of days :)
