Since our boys decided to hate eachother again, i did as suggested in a previous thread of mine and covered the walls of both boys' enclosures with blankets so they could never see each other for a month before attempting any rebond.
They share the roaming room though, so when one is out and about the other one is hidden by blankets.
I let Lümi out to the room and went to do stuff in the kitchen. I know that Lümi wouldn't go and do something stupid because of his normally lovely and lets-get-along sort of demeanor towards literally anything.
I was really confused when i heard loads of beating and thumping sounds so i went to check and what i found had astounded me.
The two boys were together in the larger enclosure, full-on fighting, beating and biting each other flat on their sides.
I broke the door in a rush to get them separated.
It appears that Lümi had gone out of his way to clear a 100cm wall to get to the other boy to start a fight, and had managed to break Storm's skin in two places. Lümi has never before shown such active-agressive behaviour which is very peculiar.
Thus i have concluded that any further attempts at rebonding those two would just end in hurt and vain.
I would like some other people's input though.

Sorry this happened to your rabbits hopefully there's no serious injuries and they will heal soon.

Unfortunately it is just a fact that sometimes 2 particular rabbits will refuse to get along. I have had that experience and understand that frustration. But don't feel that you did something wrong. Rabbits can just be stubborn and choosey.

There comes a point when continuing to force a bond that isn't meant to be becomes counterproductive and just causes undue stress -- for both the bunnies and you!

That's my opinion, anyways.

I've decided to stop forcing on their bond since they clearly don't want to get along anymore.
What are the different possibilities, if hypotethically i were to switch one of the rabbits out? Would it even be worth it?
