At night time George for the last few days has almost done hardly any poo`s overnight ? he`s fine during daytime as he use his litter tray outside( in fact he prob poo`s more in that now to compensate) but this is to big to put in his in door night time cage my worry is could he be holding it in preferring not to poop at the end of the smaller n.time cage. He wee`s fine over night as normal.? am very exerienced with under 5`s humans but not buns :bunnydance:

Sorry am confused what you, mean if you mean the last sentence i`ve been in the childcare profession for 20+ years and am a homecare with the highest rating you can get in the uk ,sorry to offend i just meant i know every area of toilet training children but no nothing about rabbits :(

It is a bit confusing but I think you're saying there's a smaller box for night time in his cage and a bigger daytime one outside; he only likes to poo in the big one outside.

I highly doubt the bunn is holding it in - we can domesticate our buns to a point but if a bunny's got to go, believe me, he'll go. I think it's more to do with his night and day eating habits than anything else. My boys eat all day but eat more "meal" like portions in the morning, around 6pm and again around 10pm. Without fail they'll poo within the hour after that, one big load of poos.

Does George eat much hay overnight? Has his consumption changed lately? Any new additions or ommisions in his diet? Has he otherwise displayed difficulty pooing during the day? Or is he pooing where he shouldn't at anytime? Bunnies pretty much eat all the time andn
poo all the time so no poo overnight is kind of odd. I would check over his habits and observe carefully. Changes in a bunny's eating or pooing habits can be a first indicator to a number of things. Diligence in observation and proactiveness is key to helping:)
