This is Nick I also won this one at the show. He is a 4 year old and is ABRA reg and has3 legs. He also has a paper stating he is a champion. I wanted to know what you all think of him I was thinking about getting a doe at the show. Can he still be shown in youth?

Go Himmie!

:highfive:

Okay, so, he's cute. Depending on the quality of the animals where you are, he probably won't show all too well. Looks like he's got a definite rise to his HQ. Remember his back feet need to be placed flat on the surface, though, for proper evaluation. Because he's on his back toes like that, it makes him look extrememly swaybacked. I learned this the hard way lol. Even fully posed, he's gonna have that rise to the HQ.

His hips are pretty large compared to what's desireable. Run your hands down his sides when posed- you shouldn't get any resistance from the hips and they shouldn't catch when you run your fingers down his body.

From what I can see, his markings arent too great either. I'm looking at the front legs and ears... See how the white fur breaches into his color? The color, ideally, on the front legs should reach up to the elbow. On the ears, you want a deep, bold color and no variation in color at the ear base. I can't see much of his nose smut or back legs. I'm assuming he's chocolate? If so, he looks a teeny bit light in his color. It may be the picture quality coming into play on that.

Overall, I've seen worse, definitely.
