Well, as you may know, I am going to be building an NIC cage pretty soon, and I have no idea what to furnish it with. It will have a bottom level and a 2nd level. What should I cover the plywood level with? What sort of "furniture" should I put in there? I need ideas quick!!

I use one of these. http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc...word=concrete+tube&storeId=10051#.UC0OXKlmTcg. I cut mine in 3 sections and cut a hole or 2 in each section. Works great. It is safe for them to chew on. The obvious include a litter box, food and water bowls. You could put some cloths pens in the cage for the bunnies to chew on. Toilet paper rols are great. You could make a hay rack by zip tying hay (fold the hay over and then zip tie). This makes for a mess free hay zone. My cages are sparsely furneshed at the moment so I do not have many ideas.

You can cover plywood with vinyl tiles and then put rugs or blankets on that for traction.

You can get a small wooden step stool in there. paper towel rolls, litter boxes, hay bins.. my buns LOVE old shoe boxes.. LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I just make sure there is no stickers or something other than cardboard on there.

That'll be good, thanks! Do they sleep in the shoeboxes? i could actually make a bed out of it for her if buns like sleeping in them!:big wink:
