Hi Everybunny,:bunnydance:

My name is Meg and I love rabbits, but I do love all animals. I have three different breeds of rabbits currently, and they are: 1 English Spot (Luken Messy), 2 Holland Lops (Her's Cracker Jack "Dewey" and LuLu), and4 Mini Rexes (Peyton's Cutie "Cutie", Black Jack, Abigail's Fantasy "Abby", and J's Jack O Lantern "Jack"). We also have a cute little Mini Rex mix "Starly" who is just adorable!!! I have owned rabbits for years, like 4 or 5 years and have done so much research online, with veterinarians, etc., and you NEVER stop learning. I breed my rabbits with my Mom for show purposes and we do sell, HOWEVER, we have specific contracts made up for people to sign, and we will refuse sales if we feel the rabbit will not have a good home. We want to see proof that you have proper housing, food, and water for them. We breed purebreds only, and strongly advise those who have pet rabbits to spay/neuter, and don't breed unless you have tons of knowledge and are doing it for the love of rabbits and show purposes, NOT to make a quick buck, that is NOT what we are about. We had one litter and she only produced two (odd), but of course, I kept the one and my BFF got the other one. Even with my best friend, I still check up on that rabbit! Anyways, just so people understand me, I'm not out to make a quick buck and I love rabbits and advocate the spaying and neutering. Hopefully I won't have enemies here, although I don't hate on people who dislike breeders. It's a lot of the unknowledgable and those who want money that make a bad name for breeders.

So...What kind of bunnies do you have? I'll never forget my first bunny "Riley", he was a Mini Rex and was such a loveable guy. I took him to the vet, neutered him, loved him, etc., but sadly I only had him for three years. He was an adult when I got him, and they guessed him to be anywhere from 1-3 years old. But he was so sweet.

What do you do with your bunnies? How did you get started with rabbits? I will post pictures soon! :)

Meg

Hi and welcome to the forum! I have seen other breeders on here and as far as I can tell responsible breeders are quite welcome. I don't think you will make enemies here. :)

I got into rabbits when I was 16. My beau at the time gave me money to adopt a puppy, but I spotted an adorable baby Polish and got him instead. :inlove: After that I also got 2 Holland Lops and a French Lop over a period of time.

Now I have my heart bunny, Michiko, an English Lop doe.

I snuggle with Michiko and terrorize her bunny room with the broom. I like to pet her and watch her investigate. ^_^

Again - welcome and we all hope to see pictures of your bunny herd soon! ;)

Thank you for the replies, everyone! :) It looks like a wonderful forum so far! I would love to see pictures of both your rabbits! :)

Your rabbits are so cute! Oh really? I was born and grew up in Detroit, but we moved out into the country. lol

:helloand :welcome1to RabbitsOnline. I am glad you found the site. RO is a very active, friendly and helpful website devoted to rabbits and their slaves.

Here are some good links to areas of the site you might find interesting, the Library section, full of good reference info, Bunny Blog, where you can keep everyone up to date on your bunny and your life as a bunny slave and if you bunny would like to ask questions of other buns the Bunny Chat is the spot to be. The regional forum is a good way to find a rabbit savvy vet or to post places where you get some of your supplies for your bun etc. For the lighter side and to give you a chuckle or two stop by the go to the Let Your Hare Down section for anything but bunny's.

Here is link to the rules of the site, light reading Rabbits Online Forum Rules.

If you would like to post pictures in your post this link How to put photo's in your posts will help explain that.

I hope I didn't overwhelm you with info. This is a wonderful site and I look forward to seeing pictures and reading some stories.

Dave
