Hello,

My name is Nina and my username is Is-me. A little about myself: I live in Western Australia and I have just recently gotten married to a the wonderful man in my life. We also have our first baby on the way so I am tomorrow, which is Wednesday, 15 weeks pregnant. I also work as a retail worker but I guess that will soon be gone as I wish to care for our baby instead of working and putting it in child care.

I also have two wonderful little boy ratties. Whom are very precious to me. Their names are Hugo and Brian. Brian is the more friendly and snuggly of the two. Hugo is just Hugo.:p

Currently I do not have any rabbits but saw the most adoreable black dwarf balls of fluff the other day and that was enough to make me interested in rabbits again.

Well, hope to hear from you soon and make me some lovely rabbity friends.

Nina

Welcome, Nina!

Best of luck delivering your new baby! When are you due? You should join our thread for the preggers on here, lol.

Do you plan to get a bunny?

The ratties sound lovely and cute.

Again, welcome to Ro!:D

Hey there thanks for the welcome. The doc's keep changing it on me but I am now due on 4 Feb 2009.

Im hoping to get a house rabbit one day but I want to learn as much as I can first.

I used to have rabbits when I was younger.

:biggrin2:

Aw, best of luck with your pregnancy and delivery. I know that can be difficult, I have a *cough* almost 15 yr old:shock::). In labor for 23 hours, but hey, that's nothing, right?:p

Very good to read up about rabbits before actually getting one:thumbup. They are so different from any other pet. Can be more scary sometimes than having any other pet, tbh.

If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask me or any one else here, we're all here to help:).

I like learning about animals alot and always try to learn before I actually venture on getting a new pet. It took me almost 4 years to acquire my previous pets.I had to be sure I wanted them :biggrin2:

Welcome to the forum :biggrin2:!

I am a rattie mommy, too! I have a rex rattie named Spartan, a hairless rattie named Ralphie, and a himi dumbo named Louie :D.

Hopefully you will find that rabbits will fit perfectly into your life. They are so great!

Hi Nina and welcome to the forum. Wow four years of research before you got your previous pets. Looks like you have the dedication to be a rabbit Mommy! Good job on doing research first. Rabbits are super enjoyable and are a lot of work. I did about a month and a half of research before I got mine.

What kind of rabbits did you grow up with?

Shannon

Cool! We dont get hairless ratties in Australia but I wish we did. The closest we can get is to get a patchwork ratty and they are very rare too.

Thanks for the welcome

Hi Shannon. Im not sure what they were, all I know was that one was a pepper colour, one was a grey and white mottled colour and the last one I do know was a white albino.

I had the last one when I was about 21 years old. He was beautiful and I sure miss him, even after all these years. His name was Jesse-James.

Welcome Nina!

There is loads of valuable info here. I was just reading about"preventative bunny maintenence :)P)in the Lagomorph Library.I've learn thingshereI would've never even thought aboutwhen I first got my bun.

Good for you for doing the research, and I'm excited to hear more about the ratties!

Have you got any plans about which breed you might enjoy keeping?
