Hello all,

I have a 5 month old black mini lop named Penny. She is so sweet. I've read a few articles on rabbit communication and behavior to help me understand her and help us to bond. Today she accepted my request to be groomed, and groomed my hair for me, then we did some dancing. She spends her days playing in the living room, she does really well with our 3 cats and 3 dogs. They all get along great, no fighting. At bedtime, she goes in her "house" or bunny hutch, my dad built it for me, it has 2 floors and plenty of room. I had a mini lop when I was a teen, but it's so different having one at 30. I want to spend more time with her now and learn as much as I can about communicating with her.

I look forward to getting to know you all

Definitely different having a rabbit at an older age. Put 20 more years to yours and that's when I got my first rabbits. lol. I think the communication part, or learning how to communicate with a rabbit is a little more easier when you are older. For me it has been. More patience. That's the key.

So glad to hear all is well with you and Penny. It's the best part of being a slave to bunnies. Learning how to communicate. And some of their ways they do, are frustrating (marking, chewing, digging) but others, just make you laugh.

Look forward to hearing how it goes with Penny.
