Hello, My names Amelia, and I'm Kansas City based. My boyfriend and I have a eclectic house. Our range of rabbits, and his dog that thinks it's a rabbit. We didn't know that the rabbit world was so big and complex! We're used to the Dog showing world. He's a fan and I used to appentice under a woman who showed her Poodles and Lowchen. But it was a shock to find that rabbits had shows and pedigrees in their name!
Well, it started out with a Flemish Giant picture. My boyfriend wanted to see a picture of the record breaking breed (not beleaving a rabbit could get to 28lbs). After along time thinking and researching, we drove to Rocky Altic's rabbitry and brought home a light gray buck, "Big boy". He's now 9 weeks old and our youngest family memeber. After "Big Boy", we caught Bunny fever, and adopted Juniper "June". She's our Holland Lop.
I put my foot down after her, and said we don't need any more! So then came Mya. Mya's out little English spot. She came from a home where she had been accidentally bred to the family's Netherland Dwarf buck. We adopted her knowing full well that she was expecting. A week after bring her home she gave birth to 8 kits. All of them, save for one, look like momma. And somewhere in between came Ginger. We adopted this mini rex doe from a girl that does 4H.
Well, those are my bunnies.
