Hey everyone, last weekend I got to post about Monica my ND having her first litter. This weekend I am excited to say that Thumpette my 2nd ND doe had her litter last night. She too had 2 kits, one was a peanut and passed this morning, the other is an adorable black kit. (Thumpette isa black ND just like Monica, they just have different head shapes, both have the petite ears and good body)

Anyway here are the pics

We also have another ND due 8/2 and 2 lionhead does due 7/29 and 7/30 will keep ya posted:big wink:

Well our newest kit RTB1 is now 3 days old and just getting his/her fur...what a little cutie, but he/she is camera shy and starts rolling over everytime I bring out the camera....will try to get updated shots this weekend.

Lil bit is now 11 days old and made his/her first trip outside the nestbox (on his own) today. We bring him/her out sometimes to let em hop around but this was the first time it jumped out into the cage on its own...too cute. I snapped a shot during playtime. PLEASE forgive the dora blankets...kids ya know.:p

Okay, so thumpettes baby is now 5 days old and has fur, but is a shy little thing, I will get pics on sunday when he/she is a week old.

Lil Bit, monica's baby, is now 2 weeks old and WILL NOT stay in the nest box, he/she is determined to lay on mat with mom, who seems to like cuddling with baby alot too. When they are not cuddled up side by side, they tend to lay nose to nose with each other...it is really cute!

Very Cute Babies..

Hay! I am glad that I didnt show my kids that blanket. They would have went nuts

hey everyone. First let me say that lil bit is now 2 1/2 weeks old, is eating hay, living out of the nest box, drinking water from the water bottle, and nibbling at the pellets (along with driving mom crazy) he/she has started running and hopping all over the place and is doing great!

Sadly, the baby from the second litter passed away last night. When I checked on it yesterday (it was 9 days old) I noticed it was no longer growing, hadn't opened its eyes and was much less active, it just seemed to be fading. This morning when we got up mom was laying in the nestbox, and the baby is gone. (literally) This was the 2nd litter this ND has had, the 1st produced 3 kits, 2 faded away at a week of age, the other lasted 5 before passing away. The breeder thought the problem may have been the buck since he had had some trouble when it was born. However now that the doe has produced 2 fading litters it looks like she may be the contributing factor. Sad, but it happens.

We also have 2 lionheads due this weekend, and our Choc Otter ND....will post pics and info soon.
