ok, so i'm thinking about getting a new MP3 player. the one i have is great, but i use it so much going back and forth to church and stuff that i'd like one with some more features. the one i'm looking at is the SanDisk Sansa e250, it's a 2GB player and it has an expandable memory(micro sd card i think it was). so far i've been reading the reviews on it, and it looks really good. has any body heard anything bad about it? the one i have now is a sandisk sansa m240 1 GB and it's held up really good, i like the brand which is way i'm wanting to get the same brand. not to mention they're cheaper and really well made:biggrin2:!

i'm trying to find a good music store, but not having much luck. it needs to be something cheap, preferably without a subscription, and it would need to have artist's like the Jonas Brothers and such(i was looking on jonas brothers anywhere!). could y'all recommend a good one? i use the Windows Media Player and love it, so it'd have to be compatible with that. !
i was looking at http://www.napster.com but it won't let me look around. does any body one here have it? do you like it? how easy is it to find what you're looking for?

thanks for the help guys!

My kids had some of the cheaper MP3 players and they were fine, but this year for Christmas (they had worn out the others) they got iPods. My son got the Classic and my daughter got the Nano. They LOVE them and can even watch videos and stuff.

Anyhow, I don't know if it will work on yours but I don't see why not, but we do the Amazon music thing. It's not bad at all.

I was gonna say the same thing, I LOVE my iPod!!! I've got an 80GB Classic, as I have a lot of music, but the Nano's are really really good.....

I was reluctant about using iTunes instead of Windows Media Player as I'd liked it too, but I've not looked back since! It has all the same functionality and more of Windows Media Player, plus it's soooooo much quicker to synchronise. Literally seconds for an album to go across! And if your music is in WMA format, iTunes will convert it to MP3 automatically for you...

I don't know how you feel about using iTunes, but I use that for a lot of music, but then I also use a lot of less, hmmm how can I put this, 'legal' downloads :scared:, not thought about Amazon before though, I'll have to check it out!

:)

hubby got me an ipod nano 8Gb, i like it and it's easy to use, I have something like 140 songs on it and have only used 1.2 gb so far i think..

he also bought me the hard case to go with it to protect it from being dropped.. hmm you'dthink he thinks i'm a cluts or something lol..(ok i am).. i had a ton of songs already on puter that i had collected from here and there, so I haven't really looked into any download sites as of yet

Those are the ones we got too! 80gb classic and 8 nano.

They love them.

We do the iTunes thing also and we trade cd's with friends and family to download them and then put them on their iPods. Works great to do that if you can get reliable people to share with.

I'm quite sad in that I actually ENJOYED ripping all my CD's into iTunes, and arranging them all with the right names and tags and stuff....:blushan: and making playlists as well.... Soooo easy in iTunes! I love that I have 80gb of space which means I never have to choose which songs to upload and which to leave out... Cos inevitably I'll always want the one album/song I decided not to upload...

Oh, and my previous post should have said 'I don't know how you feel about using the iTunes MUSIC STORE', sorry! :p

We purchase music from both Amazon and iTunes store and then transfer the Amazon and cd downloads to iTunes for the sync.

Once I got the hang of it - it was simple. I had issues with one not wanting the other's music = Luke didn't want Miley Cyrus LOL! and I didn't want Lexi to have some comedy cd's of his.

Plus, I have my own playlist and my phone is an mp3 player! :biggrin2:

I don't need an Ipod or a Mp3 player stand alone at all.

My cell phone has an Mp3 player. All I have to do is buy a card that fits in my cell phone. I can transfer any of my songs to the card and place it in my phone. Right now I have a 1 gig card. But I am hoping to get an 8 gig card someday, also a software to transfer any of my songs into a ringtone as well too.

If you want to know what kind of phone I got through verizon, it is only like 120 dollars for the phone. I can even use the phone as a mp3 player if I ever stop having a cell phone too.:biggrin2:Of course mine has to be color, and red I love red. My hubby has the black one.

those are really pricey, though. my best friend has one that she got for christmas, and it's nice, but i like the wheel on the e250 better than the ipod wheel. the main thing that i liked more about her's was the screen and stuff. this player is really almost exactly like the ipod nano, only less $$$$. the two GB is 100, which is really good. i've got one GB now, and i'd like a bit more, but not to much more.

Gabby, 1.2 GB for 140 songs:scared:!?!?!? i've got *goes and checks*216 songs on mine right now and i still have 263MB left, which is about 3 or 4 CD's worth.

i'll go check out the amazon music thing!

oops, double post!

cell phone would be a no go, i don't have one and mom's not going to get me one/let me get one until i need it. right now i'm with her all the time and if i'm not, i'm with a friend that has one, or an adult that has one, so..................................

but it's a nice idea!

I have a Creative Zen Nano 8 GB. It holds about 4000 songs. I like it. Costs less than an Ipod for the same # of songs. Really easy to use. It has a micropohne and you can also record off the computer without having to download things. It is basically Line in recording. I believe it also comes in 2 and 4 GB.

i really like the player i've picked out, i just wanted to know if anybody'd heard something bad about it. and the music store thing. i like the look of the Amazon Music Store though.............................i'll have to talk mom about whatever i do.

Get an iPod, I love mine. And you can download itunes, which is a good music store. Only 99 cents for one song, and about10 dollars a CD.

Sweetpeasmommy, how do you get the songs to transfer tho? I always have to buy them from verizon.

I have the card and each time I try to transfer something it says it's locked.

I have the LG VX8600

ipods are nice, don't get me wrong, my friend loves hers, but i really like the wheel and such on the e250, and it's more in my price range. i've got some cash saved from Christmas and we had a yard sale on sat, so that's what i'm buying it with. i think mom's going to order it tonight and then we can pick it up(i hope)tomorrow after i see Dr.C(diabetes Doctor). at lest that's what i hope i'm going to be able to do!

Firstly you need a card reader on your pc. YOu can get an external kind. If you do not have a card reader then you need to get an usb cord that connects to your phone to the pc. I am used to the card reader since I purchased mine to put inside my pc. When you do get a card reader, place the little card that goes in the phone inside the bigger card, you will see a small slot that the little one go in. Then put the big card in the card reader. It will ask you if you want to open the files and transfer or something else. Click on the X, then another pop up will open up, look for a folder, click on that, you will see different folders in that. One will say music, just transfer all the music you have on your pc from the cd, into that folder. Then take the card out, then take the small one out and place it in the phone. Voila you got music.

also you will need a card for your cell phone as well.

Look on the side of your phone and you should see microsd written on a mini door like. Open that you put the tiny card in it. Your phone does not hold alot of memory without the card.

Scroll down to where you see memory cards, the music estentional kit and the scandisk moble mate reader. The card reader you can find them at walmart in the cellphone accesory section.

I have only used 500 gig and that is all music and pictures. So I have 106 music on that card, so it did not use 500 gig yet.

yay! mom placed the order, and we're picking it up after the Dr. plus this is the first time in the new office. they've built a whole new building, and i've never seen it before, i'm so excited! weird, i know, but when you go to the dr every three months, a nice office is cool:biggrin2::dude:. gotta go, mom and i are watching a movie together and since we gotta get up early, we gotta finish the movie in good time too:p.

I got it to work! yay!

I knew I had a problem - it was my computer's card reader - it was locking the adapter and wouldn't write to it. SO I just put it in different and it's working :)

Congrats on the new mp3! I hope you like it a lot!!!

Never heard of that. Mmm I will have to talk to my hubby about that. Odd, I did not have any of that at all.

Maybe call verizon or your cell company.
