Heres what my sister Amanda posted about her on another forum.
So I have been looking for BROKE BROKE BROKE, older, BIG and safe...

What I came home with is NOT really any of the above, but I couldn't resist.

We went to visit the fellow we got our perch cross yearling from last summer thinking he might have a draft cross or older pinto there to ride.... what we found was... well, Shay and I had our hearts stolen right away.

She is two years old and some idiot let her get bred last year (she lost the foal this spring), so her growth is stunted. A ridiculous amount of HAIR. Dam is pure percheron, she is about 15hh now but beautiful clean strong legs, and black as night. Beautiful action in the front, and did I mention HAIR?!

She looks like a friesian, to be honest. Anyways... may be delivered tonight, but will be here by next Saturday at the very latest. I think she *might* be halter broke and that is right about it. We've got her training schedule all figured out between Shay and I (lol, before we had even convinced dad), and would just do lots of ground work and people work with her this year - depending on where she is in the fall, Shay may get led around a little bit...

Will post pics as soon as I get her home!
Well, here she is... Sorry if they are REALLY big. ( I know they arent great pics, but shes a WILD THANG! LOL, There are few who can get thier hands on her - I am one of them :) )

As you can see, she's a bit of a "fixer upper" and needs some work (took us about 20 minutes to convince her the barn wasn't going to eat her and it would be okay to come inside), andMy sister and I arejust mostly crazy, you can all remind me.... but we like her.

Thanks for looking :)

She is ADORABLE! I love nice, big, stocky horses! Black ones, at that :biggrin2:.

That stall is extremely, extremely dirty though :(. Were these pictures taken at her former owners house?

It is at our farm, but , The mare was unexpected, and yesterday was cleaning day, we hadint had a chance to get at that stall yet, but that was all we had. Also, Not all of the stall is like that, the front 3/4 of itis clean, thats the back where the mare who was in it before always uses the bathroom, and one more thing, just so you dont think we dontever clean our stalls, our mares are out most of the time except when the flies are bad or its too hot, so the horses dont spend much time in thier stalls and when they get messy like the the longest it stays that way is for a day at the most. Its hard living on a farm with as many animals as us ( We have 10 or 11 horses, plus goats to clean out, and sheep and chickens too) its not like those who only have to clean one stall. ALso, that stall wasnt really that bad, I have seen worse at horse farms where they are known as respected horse people.

Sorry if any of what I said offends.

I like horses like that too, but I usualy like colour, but just black. I am really in love with anything Percheron so...

Sorry, I didn't mean to make the stall thing a big deal, really. I do understand about the poop issue though. Horses poop sooo much. I didn't know who's barn it was, but I am just happy to know that the stalls don't get used all that often. I just didn't know the story behind it :).

I hope you can accept my apologies :hug2:.

Its not a problem :) Sorry if I sounded nasty, but its hard with as many horses as we have, and they are hardly in at all in the summer, and in the winter their stalls arent like that. :)

As for you who said how pretty she was etc... I agree! My sister and I both think she will make an wicked riding horse down the road, and anyone will be able to ride her cause shes got such solid legs. :) I LOVE PERCH CROSSES! :) LOL, And now we have a Perch Cross Team! Even though my sister thinks Bronwyn is a Presian (A designer breed of HORSE!:shock:With a Perch anf Frisian mixed) Butwe are pretty sure her dam came from a PMU farm, and it could be possible that it was a frisian and Perch bred....

Anyways, all that matters to me is that we have her in our barn now where we can give her the life she dhould have been givin for the first two years of her life.... Dont know if I mentioned that she was bred at a yearling!:shock:Anyways, shes in good hands now :)

I forgot to mention that her shiny coat, all from being outside in a run in! (Hense the burnt bits of her mane, tail and forelock!) Shes so shiny and soft - aaaaaaahhhh, anyways, Im off to go love on her in my perch cross Freckles inst in :) Bye.

She's really pretty! (though, as a Friesian lover and owner, I don't think she looks Friesian at all).

Good luck with her! :) I'm sure she'll come around in no time :)
