Hello all! *waves*

I'm a proud bunny mama of two. I have a two year old mini rex boy I got on christmas eve 2009 and we have been inseparable ever since. He has free run of the house and is potty trained 99% of the time. (Everyone has accidents now and then right? :p) He was fixed last week and the vet told me to limit his movements, so right now he's stuck in a pen which he hates. He's a real sweet heart. He doesn't mind being picked up at all, he's super cuddly and he'll lay with me until I fall asleep most nights, although I think it might just be because he likes the smell of my shampoo and wants to sneak a nibble. I wear my hair to sleep in a tight bun now. haha.

My girl is a two month old, half new zealand, quarter californian, and clearly a quarter angora. I've had her about two weeks now. She was originally meant to meat, but was 'rescued' by some 4H girls who kept her on a metal bottom cage outdoors in the heat of the summer. :pssd: Now they have an add up to sell their entire rabbitry and it's taking all of my will power not to drive back and adopt eight more. Tali started sneezing on the two hour car ride home and I took her to the vet to find out she has a bit of an upper respiratory infection so she's getting some drops and some disinfectant bath for her feet. They also sent me home with some critter care since she's so underweight but since getting use to being here she's becoming a real good hopper and eater and I've only had to syringe feed her once. :)

I could talk about my buns all day, but I should probably say a bit about myself too. I'm in my fourth year of university studying to be an elementary school teacher. I'm at school all the time and when I'm not I have to work a crappy cashier job. When I'm not doing homework, at school, volunteering at elementary schools, or dealing with jerk face customers, I like to spend time with my buns, go to the ocean, or the river, or be outside in general.

My rabbits have taken it upon themselves to 'help out' with my academics.

This is a terrific website for rabbits and their slaves, not only is it very active but also friendly. I am so glad you’re here and I know you will enjoy it.

Many bunnies’ recommend their slaves to this site so we may learn of others methods to keeping our furry masters happy.

If you everhave a sick bunny, please post in The Infirmary and include your rabbit's age, breed and health history as well diet and output details leading up to the problem.

Here are somelinks I thought you might find interesting:

*For reference the Library section

*To brag or tell everyone about the antics of your bunny or just to talk about your day here is where to start a Bunny Blog, you can also look back at it later and remember when you had a life before your bunny.

*Now all the bunny’s like talk to each other when we mere slaves aren’t around in the Bunny Chat is the spot to be.

*The House Rabbit Society has a lot of good information on what veggies are safe for bunny’s, etc.

*Here is a link to learn what your furry master is trying to say to you How to Understand Your Bunny's Language

*Rabbits Online also has regional forums , this a good way to find a vet in your area that has experience with rabbits and to find out from other nearby of good sources of rabbit supplies.

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Here is a link tothat will help you and your bunny to connect, How to Bond with Your Bunny.

Now every forum has rules and ours can be found with this link Rabbits Online Forum Rules. This gives guidelines on what is acceptable, what is not and how we hope everyone will treat each other.

Everyone on this forum loves to see pictures of each other’s bunnies. So if you would like to post a picture this link will help you do that, Upload Photo's to Photo Gallery. Then in the post, you click on the "G" in the tool bar to insert your photo. Many people also use Photobucket. You just copy the img file and paste it into the post.

Don’t hesitate to ask questions and I am glad you have joined rabbits online; I look forward to seeing you around.

OMG! Cute buns! Good for you for taking in the "meat" bun; life is hard for a bun.. and apparently hard for a teacher - but thanks for doing that job and for being a bunny slave!

Welcome to RO and hope to hear more of your "family" when you get a chance.
