I've been searching for a place like this to share and learn more about our bunnies.
We adopted our 1st bunny a few months ago from our local humane society. She is now 11 mos old and a Mini Lop we believe, named Carmel. She LOVES her greens and getting better each day with being held. She actually fell asleep on my lap the other day. She lives in our kitchen in her 3 story condo (made from storage cubes) cage that my husband and I built for her and is great with her litter box.
We just adopted our second bun this past Sunday. He is about 18 mos old and is either a Lionhead or Lionhead mix. His name is Teddy and is living in a large cage next to Carmel. He's a snuggler and crawls up under my neck. He's currently in the learning process with his litter box. He is also starting to really like his greens and eats his hay. When we got him all he was eating was multigrain bread, which I refused to feed him. He is also starting to eat his pellets. He is due to be neutered and then we want to begin the bonding process with them.
They also live with our 2 dogs, our 15 mos old male Golden Retriever, Wrigley and our 20 mos old female Golden Ret./Great Pyrenees mix, Daisy. Daisy loves to lay next to their cages and when she visits with them she likes to nuzzle in their fur or lick their heads and happily both buns seem to like it )
