I was searching the net looking for bunnies in my area when I stumbled across this sight. I registered and here I am. I don't currently own any bunnies. I'm in the market and would like to own at least one but probably no more than three long haired rabbits. I'm interested in the fiber they produce for spinning.

I have owned a couple of rabbits in the past. My husband grew up on a farm and has more experience with them than I do. I've done some research and know that the long haired guys need more attention and that's why I want to keep it down to three or less for now.

This looks like a great place to learn more and connect with others who are like minded.

Hi there, and welcome...

Long hair rabbits are wonderful, but they are a lot more work! I have English Angora's and one Angora mix... they are the sweetest buns, and so much fun. Their Angora is wonderful to spin with, you'll love doing that.

I keep mine shaved from late sping to late summer, and then keep their hair short the rest of the time, just because it's easier for me, but I am not actively using their Angora... but would love to. You are right to start small, and find out how many buns you can handle first.

Good luck :)
