Yesterday I had to go get my tonsils and adenoids taken out. They took my blood and got me in one poke. When time for the IV came it took four times, one the vein like disapeared, the next two times they blew(hurt bad as they where in my hands) and the last was good. Straight away I got me some happy juice, man I was happy ;)I wish I had that stuff now. The operation room was so cool but the anestetic hurt, he had to numb my arm before he could finish putting it in because it hurt so bad. The room started morphing, I said "Woowwww" and they laughed and asked if it was good and I was out of it, lol. I woke up coughing up blood. I can't talk or swallow without horrible pain in my throat.

Anyway, after we left I asked if we could go to a petstore I knew about there as we do not have any around here. Turns out there was two and one had a big sale going on on most of their stuff.I got me a cute little dark eyed white syrian female, after I picked her and looked at the fishI about passed out and had to leave as mom payed for her. There was loads of them all together, which is wrong and I am against but all petstores do it. Most of them where tame, she was the tamest girl I found, the males where prettiest but I was shooting for tame.

I will get pictures soon, she is so cute. Maybe pregnant, the first words out of the lady's mouth after seeing she was a girl was "She is most likely pregnant. We take any babies born in as a donation once they are weaned, so people are not stuck with loads of hamsters. Most of these here are babies brought in, that is why they are so tame. So you can just bring any possible babies in once they are ready."

Yep, going to drive 80 miles to bring you free hamsters that I will be taming and feeding and such, give you free money... sure... right.

Anyway, I will get pictures. I took some lastnight but she was in the tiny carrier I had her in while I seperated my dwarfs - fighting - so I could put her in their cage. She has an uptop nesting box and she loves it. Luckly she is not to big to fit through the tube just yet, once she is she and my dark eyed white dwarf will be switching cages.

I just got done holding her for a bit. She is much tamer than my dwarfs :p And I do have to say she is pregnant. I am guessing babies within the next 4-5 days, probably less if she settles down soon. I will be leaving her alone from now until then, I will get pictures though.

Oh jeez. Is she in a tank? I think it's better for them to be in a tank then a cage if they have babies.

At least she and the babies are in good hands. ;)

No, but the cage is plastic about 3 inches up. I figure she will have them uptop in the nest box anyway. I would put her in a tub but my "Syrian Tub" is HUGE and I am afraid the babies will get lost easily. I will figure out what I will do soon. I am still pretty out of it, the pain medicine they have me on makes me sleepy all the time, I wish it would help the pain better.
