Hi everyone I recently joined this site. I have 2 rabbits of my own and just brought home my first foster. And it happens to be a whole family. A momma and her 2 little babies. They are all very tiny, including mom. We think they could be Polish dwarfs. Anyways I am looking for tips from anyone that has fostered babies before. They are old enough that they are no longer nursing, but still very attached to mommy.
Thanks for any input!

Something is wrong with this for some reason. I can't get a post through so if this works - WELCOME!

I'll move this to the introduction area so everyone can see you're here :)

Welcome! I have some Polish. They are littel no more then 3.5#s. The momma generally lets you know when to wean them, But not always. Do you know how old they are?

I leave them with the doe up to 8 weeks.Generally I wean at 6 weeks.I would wean both at the same time, placing them together fow awhile. I give the weaned kits, pellets, hay(Timothy) and old fashon oats. Have fun.

It's sad, we don't really know how old they are. They definitly are not nursing still. And have been eating well, I haven't tried oats yet, but I have been giving them parsley and they like that.
They are so fun to have around. Binky machinies!!!
I think one of the babies may have already found a home too. So thats exciting, I'll keep you all updated
