GREAT PYRENEES + DACHSHUND = Pyredachs, a puzzling breed.

IRISH WATER SPANIEL + ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIEL = Irish Springer, a
dog fresh and clean as a whistle.

choice of research scientists.

any way.

advisors.

PEKINGNESE + LHASA APSO = Peekasso, an abstract dog.

POINTER + SETTER = Pointsetter, a traditional Christmas pet.

I think it's even better because of all these "designer dogs" they are breeding..... when I was young they were called MUTS and you got them free - not $1000

I agree. I'm getting rather sick of the whole "designer dog" trend. Just because you slap a fancy name and an expensive price on a dog doesn't mean it's hypoallergenic, healthier, or otherwise better than the purebreads we've come to know and love or the mixed breed dogs filling up our shelters.

I'd take a rescued dog any day. I'd rather pay a $100 adoption fee for a dog at the shelter, then donate the other $900 that I *would* (not really) have spent on a "desinger dog".

Ahem...a pittie mix on a kill list needs loooove too :p!

i love the new cross breed list ;-) So lets see a have a whippet/Labrador mix(we believe) got any good names for that one?

The designer dogs thing though, personality i think it gives good breeders a bad name, and they must be laughing hysterically in the fact they can "sell their mutts" for 1000, yet the shelters have a hard time adopting out. maybe the shelters need to take a cue from them and start labeling their mutts with new breed names..

honestly though I am not a fan of the designer dog thing.hate to admit this the only dog I have really seen an improvement in with this whole cross thing, is the pug beagles mix, why because while they still have a short nose it is not pushed in like the full pug there for they do much better under anesthesia..

pure breed or mutt i love them all, but I'm not gonna buy a "designer dog" from someone and suport them in their efforts to make more mutts. if i want a "designer dog" that no one else has i'll check out my local shelter and see what kinda strange but interesting beasts they have there ;-)

I had a rot/beagle her name was Mini she looked just like a mini rot we called her a beagweiler

This is the only picture i could find. Mini was hit by a car because the people who took care of our yard left the side gate open.

I remember seeing this before, it still cracks me up! I had to re-send it to anyone I might not have emailed it to before.

Haha! Too cute! Best One Icould comeup with whilelooking through ABC dog breeds.. :p

Rottweiler and Appenzell Mountain Dog would be a Rotten Apple
