I'm so excited, I finished Amy's new house tonight! I got so many ideas from this website and because of you Amy has a nice, safe, fun new home. I've only had her about 4 weeks. The first 3 she was an angel...only chewing on the toys I provided for her and staying off the bed and such. Then I guess she got comfortable and well...she likes to chew. As much as I bunny proofed my sons room, she would find something to destroy(my sons brand new bed, the carpet, drywall). She hated going in her little cage at night(she had free roam of the room all day) so I built a NIC cage for when we couldn't be watching her. She loves it!! You can see her live right now at www.ustream.tv and search for "the amy lou show".

Thanks everybody for your ideas and pictures. Amy thanks you too!!

I have a water bowl for Honey, so don't know if the bottle is at the right height for Amy. I think it is, but as she gets bigger it'll have to be moved up a little. And if it drips, would it be dripping into pellets? Hate to nitpick, as it's a lovely setup.

@ LakeCondo:) That's funny you said that! I bought Amy a bigger litter box today and moved the small one to the top level. I also raised the water bottle cuz I thought it was too low too. It drips in the litter box, the pellets were over to the side...BUT, I also bought a feeding thingy that connects on the outside of the cage. I had to cut a hole in one panel but it worked perfectly. Her food is not sitting in her box and she can't dump it over anymore:) That's one of the best things about these NIC's, you can do just about anything with them and if I mess up I can always replace the panel. I love them. Her cage keeps evolving for the better. Although my husband asked me to slow down on the upgrades today...HAHAHHAHAHAHA He knows me better than that! My animals are pretty spoiled:biggrin2: But I wouldn't have it any other way!

:biggrin::biggrin2:

@Amylou: I went to your streaming video a few minutes ago -- you were just setting it up (hee, hee). Anyway, the cloth you have hanging from the ramp - is that a pillow case? Amy was hopping inside it. It was so cute! It looked different from the photo you have above.

I really love that! I'm planning to build a NIC cage into a nook in my bedroom like yours.

Wow, I love the cage! I noticed there's a little bed-thing on the third level of the cage... Do they like those? Like, do they sleep in them? It might be cool to get one of those... Also, would you mind sending a link/instructions on how you built your NIC cage? I'm building one soon and am gathering ideas! Thanks please respond! :)

I love your cage. Good job! I would also like to know what the little bed is? I am looking for something new for Elliot.
