For those of you that have moved your buns into new BIGGER enclosures, did you do it all at once or slowly?

My main concern is for the litterbox. She is litter trained now, but she "picked" the corner. Her new cage is more than doubling her space plus has 3 full levels whereas she only has one and half now. I would prefer that she only has her litterbox on one level and only goes potty on one level. Will she automatically do that since she is already litter trained?

Should I just move her and give her access to the whole 3 level cage at once, or block her off on one level and go from there?
Thanks in advance!

Every time I have moved/changed my buns enclosures, they have continued to use their litter boxes. I do keep some dirty litter in there so they know that even though it's in a different spot, that the "business" still goes in there.

Great thanks. I just wasn't sure since she is going to have so much more space plus 3 levels if that would make a difference so wondered if I should restrict her to one level initially.......?

When I gave mine more space I put in a 2nd litterbox and they were ok about it. Although at the time the female wasn't spayed so she kept leaving marking droppings. Now that they're both fixed they use the litterbox more reliably. I'm just waiting for more income to give them a larger set-up again!

Thanks everyone!

We just got the cage put together and she has been moved. She seems to love it! Time will tell as far as the litterbox goes. Fingers crossed :)

When we moved cookie to a bigger space, he never had a problem using his litter box... But we had also already seen him have access to the whole house and still go all the way downstairs to continue to go in his box...

Im sure she will LOVE her new place :)
