Hi all, Im new to both the forum and owning bunnies, I got my little Bucks Bunny 2 days ago, she is a Blue Netherland Dwarf (I think), 6 weeks old. We already seem to be bonding as she licks me endlessly, binkies all the time and flops over alot :big wink: . I am just wondering if it is normal for a bunny to bond with someone so quick or may it be because she is just so young?

It didnt take my Olivia(RIP) very long to bond with me, and she was a year old when I got her. I think it only took maybe 3 days. My Gracie took a few weeks to warm up to me, but she was a rescue bun, so thats why. So i think it is normal. Welcome to the forum!

Welcome. Peppy took less than a week to bond with me, and he was 3 years old. She just loves you!

Welcome to RO and congrats on your bun. She is a doll
When we got our Dilly, she was around 2 and adopted her from a family that had to get rid of her. It took less than a week for her to get comfortable with us and to trust us. I guess it just depends on the bunny. It's good that she didn't take long to bond with you though!!

Welcome!

She is so adorable. Agnes bonded right away too. Never really seemed too skittish or scared.

As everyone else has said, each bun has their unique personality. I will say though, that she does look super young. Sometimes baby buns will often be more apt to lick because they were recently weaned.

Either way, all good signs. Just make sure she is eating amd pooping amd peeing and things should go fine from here :)

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome and all the replies. I'm really glad to say that I have now managed to get every "happy sign" that I have heard about, I even got her to eat while sitting on my chest. Oh and is anyone able to confirm if she really is a Netherlands dwarf?
