Hello All! I look forward to getting to know everyone. I am a 20-something second time bunny owner, and I decided joining a forum this time around would be good fun and helpful! My first set of bunnies, I had in college, and they were a mini lop and a holland lop. At about age 6, one got an upper respiratory infection and despite treatment succumbed to the illness :(. Shortly afterward, the other bunny died. I could never find the cause, but in my opinion, she died of a broken bunny heart. They were both litter trained and were wonderful babies :biggrin2: They used to come running when I would open the fridge to see if I had some yummies in there for them :adorable:
Fast forward to today, and I just acquired a 4 month old lop. It looks like a male to me. I don't know much about him other than he probably comes from pet stock. I hope to get him into my vet next week. I dug the old cage out, but decided this new bunny should get his own. I purchased a prevue metal cage but plan to let him be free roaming like my last two, eventually. They had a cage but only returned for pottying, eating, and night time sleeping. I look forward to sharing our journey with you all. I am also considering getting him a bunny friend as my last ones enjoyed each other very much and never struggled with being a friend to me even though they were bonded. What do you think? Here is a pic of the little lad!

I should add this little guy is in need of a stellar bunny name! I welcome suggestions :biggrin2:

Thank you for the welcomes! It looks like Charlie is high up on the possible list, but nothing is cemented yet!

Im going to poke around the local rescues and see what they have. Most have lionheads, but what I would like is a holland lop.

Mr Charlie Bunny (I think it's official) is going to be seeing the vet and getting the snip-snip on Jan 16th!

After doing a little research I have discovered that Charlie bunny is not a dutch mix but a Vienna Colored mini lop. I have a picture here where you can better see his blue eyes :D Rather than changing as some have told me to expect, he will keep his blue eyes because of the Vienna gene.

You learn something new every day! I would have guessed that he had some dutch in him too.
